What is Hangism?

What is Hangism?  It is a work of art (or design) created by using a single digital image of a PanArt Hang. The image is duplicated, flipped, rotated, moved, and layered as needed. And, various adjustment details are applied.

The first batch of designs were created using a single image of a 2nd Generation Hang as the base.  There are only about 800 2nd Generation Hangs on the planet and even less Hangism (high quality prints are available).

Introduction

AoxoA brings you the history of the original Imago Urbicum Mutavi photographic series which was a catalyst for Imago Urbicum Mutavi (Part 2).  Both series can be classified as fine art or experimental photography.

The twenty-eight photographs in the Imago Urbicum Mutavi series contain images from New York City circa 1998. Using black and white negatives, the images were altered in the printing process early in 1999. The fancy title is my attempt to make a phrase in Latin that says Altered Images from the City.
