BoomBox is an American band that defies genres—they are an experience. It’s groovy rock and roll, a fusion of vintage psychedelic rock and electronica with a healthy dose of funky house and good, old-fashioned blues. Indeed, songwriter Zion Godchaux on guitar/vocals, and DJ Russ Randolph on the sequencers and turntables, really know how to jam.
Zeds Dead are internationally popular electronic music producers who regularly release free music downloads. The duo, Dylan Mamid (DC) and Zach Rapp-Rovan (Hooks) are renowned for their fusion of bass music, dubstep, drumstep, drum and bass, electro house.
Zeds Dead are also known for intense touring of over 70 dates reaching hundreds of thousands of people in a season. Millions have viewed their productions on YouTube. The dynamic duo top the charts on Beatport and ranked in or around the top 100 DJs by most EDM magazines and critics. Their music was even used in GQ Magazine’s 2010 video shoot.
The Crystal Method, an electronic music duo, has accomplished a lot since the 1990’s. Ken Jordan and Scott Kirkland’s music has pierced the upper Billboard 200, been nominated for a Best Electronic/Dance Album Grammy, and has appeared in films, TV shows, and video games. Their best selling album was certified platinum by the RIAA.
Their performance is charged with energy and according to the Village Voice they are “one of the best live dance acts on Earth.” It is with pleasure that AoxoA presents original photographs of The Crystal Method playing at the Euphoria Music and Camping Festival 2014 (EMCF14).
The images below have a feeling, an energy and a mood that transcends traditional concert photography. Indeed, I enjoy pushing that envelope. The techniques used to develop the images sometimes reveal abstract figures that your imagination wants to recognize.
